  48. Movable Type 3.16 addresses over one hundred issues which together offer
  49. significant improvements to application security, reliability and
  50. usability from all previous versions.  We give this our strongest
  51. upgrade recommendation for all users.

  53. Here are just a few of the highlights of Movable Type 3.16:

  55.     *    Fixed email notifications for entries and comments which were
  56.     broken for some users in the last release
  57.     
  58.     *    Fixed several bugs affecting customers running Movable Type on
  59.     Windows servers including a plugin API bug that caused broken links to
  60.     plugin configuration screens

  62.     *    Fixed a bug with AltTemplatePath that now allows you to easily and
  63.     completely customize your MT application

  65.     *    Made significant improvements to the posting interfaces including 
  66.     numerous bug fixes with QuickPost and hierarchical display of categories

  68.     *    Implemented better error checking and data validation throughout
  69.     the program leading to fewer dead-ends and cryptic error messages

  82. REQUIREMENTS

  84. Movable Type requires a standard web browser (Microsoft Internet
  85. Explorer 5.x or higher, Netscape 7.x or higher, Apple Safari, Mozilla or
  86. Mozilla Firefox) to use and administer as well as a means for
  87. transmitting files to a remote server (FTP client, SCP etc).

  89. Movable Type also requires a web server and a SQL-based database
  90. (recommended) or BerkeleyDB for storage of data.   The application has
